"The Personal Experience - Because Rolfing is a holistic technique, it is recognized that changes in structure will impact the whole person, physically, emotionally, and energetically. The Rolf Institute recognizes that ultimately, it is the person's own experience of the work that is of primary importance. This plays a central role in the transformational aspect of Rolfing."  Read this quote again slowly.  It is the absolute truth of what I and many others have experienced.

Rolfing is deep tissue body work.  It is transformation.  It is change.  Above all it is change. The patterns and experiences you "carry" in your body are influencing you constantly.  In my experience, rolfing truly sets your body free to be how it was meant to be - a fully functioning, strong, adaptable, fulfilling vehicle for a life of great experiences.

I had consulted many people, had every kind of back treatment, and yet I was reduced to a body wracked with muscle spasms and constant pain.  I was never comfortable, never relaxed.

From the first treatment on I was transformed into a vital strong human being.  It is hard for me to sound even slightly objective on this subject.  You know what?  I don't care how I sound here because I have witnessed many others go through these treatments and come out ready to live - fully with great enthusiasm.  If these words convey to you the possibilities for your future health then I've done my job.  Go meet a rolfer and experience a new you.  No, I don't get any commission from this.  I feel a debt to the universe to have others find out about this great treatment.  Let me know if you try it.  I love to hear about Rolfing revolutions in people's lives.

ABOUT ROLFING

RolfingŪ Structural Integration is named after Dr. Ida P. Rolf. She began her inquiry more than fifty years ago, devoting her energy to creating a holistic system of soft tissue manipulation and movement education that organized the whole body in gravity; she eventually named this system Structural Integration. She discovered that she could achieve remarkable changes in posture and structure by manipulating the body's myofascial system.

"Rolfing" is the nickname that many clients and practitioners gave this work, and is now a registered service mark in 27 countries. Rolfing structural integration has an unequaled and unprecedented ability to dramatically alter a person's posture and structure. Professional athletes, dancers, children, business people, and people from all walks of life have benefited from Rolfing. People seek Rolfing as a way to ease pain and chronic stress, and improve performance in their professional and daily activities. It's estimated that more than 1 million people have received Rolfing work.

Research has demonstrated that Rolfing creates a more efficient use of the muscles, allows the body to conserve energy, and creates more economical and refined patterns of movement. Research also shows that Rolfing significantly reduces chronic stress and changes in the body structure. For example, a study showed that Rolfing significantly reduced the spinal curvature of subjects with lordosis (sway back); it also showed that Rolfing enhances neurological functioning.

When choosing a rolfer, it's very important to get a referral from someone who has experienced the treatments personally.  Notice the quality of the health and well-being of the person who is referring the rolfer.  Here is the name of a terrific healer/rolfer that gave me wonderful treatments.  I have sent many people to him and recommend him highly.
