I have a Key logger Mystery?
I received a call today from a friend informing me that my name came up while she was having her laptop computer looked at for viruses, spyware, etc.
The person working on her computer asked her who I was. He then proceeded to tell her that I had placed a “keylogger” on her computer and was able to watch everything she did on her computer.
Luckily for me, this friend knows me well and knows I would never do anything like that. The man who worked on her computer said I would have had to have had to be on her computer to place the keylogger. About 2 years ago I did take a look at her computer, helping her with her internet connection. She ended up calling tech support with her provider to correct the problem.
At not time did I add anything to her computer, and I have never had control of her computer through remote software.
HELP!!!! I am now afraid I have passed a keylogger virus onto untold number of people.
Any input on this subject will be greatly appreciated.
